Hour of 13 - Possession / Darkness - 7"

If you care for doom metal or heavy metal at all, Hour of 13 should be your new favorite band. These Americans released their second album of Trouble/Pagan Altar influenced occult doom metal on Eyes Like Snow Records and it gets the highest possible recommendation from us! This strictly limited seven inch single contains the track 'Possession' from the new album and, as an exclusive bonus, a cover version of 'Darkness' originally by Saint Vitus. This track will only be available on this tiny black platter and nowhere else. 400 copies.

Reverend Bizarre - In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend - 2xLP
2eyksv6.jpg

The Reverend Bizarre vinyl program continues with the band's debut album 'In The Rectory Of The Bizarre Reverend', perhaps the most revered work in their entire output. Originally released in 2002 upon an unsuspecting world. the album has already became a doom metal milestone in mere eight years. To help its grim legacy grow, Svart Records has now pressed 'In The Rectory' on vinyl. Aside from the 74 minutes of epic traditional doom metal on two round LP records, the vinyl release consists of thick gatefold covers stamped with copper foil and a large booklet with unreleased photos. The music has been remastered to get the most out of the dynamic analog medium.

The album is available on traditional black vinyl and, in more limited numbers, on transparent red vinyl.

Katatonia - Dance of December Souls - 2xLP
x6klma.jpg

Having only previously been available on vinyl 17 years ago for a brief moment, a proper analog reissue of the starting point of Katatonia's career has been in high demand. After several months of meticulous preparation, we at Svart Records have come up with what we like to think as the definitive edition of this seminal album. The 'Dance of December Souls' double vinyl includes both the original album and the 'Jhva Elohim Meth' mini album, with all music carefully remastered for vinyl, resulting in sound that's much more dynamic and far less compressed than what the CD version has to offer. This is cold, analog Northern gothic metal at its absolute finest. The 2LP has thick gatefold covers, printed inner bags and two records. In addition to the regular black vinyl edition, there's a limited batch of transparent blue vinyl available.
