Ah right, I'm not that "in" on tabletennis these days; was something else with waldner, pettersson and those.

Well, these two swedes are quite old and stuff... but you know... tabletennis can be very fascinating to watch, as it's very fast, and the control of the ball that these guys show is just amazing!

It's good fun for sure, but very hard to become good at it - requires steel-concentration and fast-reaction...
 
anticipation is the very important cause reactions do not solely work anymore, cause the game got faster over the years. Btw that's the big advantage of J.O. Waldner, his anticipation. Playing is good, i'm in a team, but you're right, it takes a lot of effort to get good at it, even if there is talent. i started when i was 8 and i think it was worth all the effort in the end even though i'm not playing in a high league.
