I know we all have one the one song/album that you listen to that allows you displace your anger at something/one. Once upon time it used to be the st.anger album for me (say want you about how good the album was, but it was an angry cd and no don't start a random angry rant at the album either). However, that lost it's edge in terms of displacement value and all the other metal bands I either listen to are either because they are badass ie amon amarth or because I was/am interested in learning the guitar part ie arsis. So post yours below and hopefully I can find a new song to rage with. :heh:

No brainer... Amon Amarth- With Oden On Our Side (cd). Runes To My Memory track is defnly one of my all time faves.

Pyramaze- Souls in Pain (track)

Tyr- The Edge (track)

Judas Priest- Painkiller!

In my mind songs that hit the spot best when you feel really enraged and want to break things are not necessary the heaviest (too heavy and you can't hear any lyrics anyway) or the most complex/profound. The chorus of this song often runs through my head when I contemplate some atrocity committed by this horde of vile, retarded, self-destructive, ravaging ape-freaks that we like to call "mankind":

If I want to listen to "angry" lyrics I usually don't pick metal, but some ultra-violent psycho rap.

This guy is good but harmless, really. People like Krijo Stalka or R.O.D. produce some pretty vile stuff...

Rap makes me wanna break things - specifically the speakers/earphones it is coming from, haha. ;)
Don't get me wrong though, I like listening to really heavy/brutal music which you can't hear the lyrics to when I'm at home and feeling pissed-off because then I can crank the volume up and just lose myself in the power of the music (just listened to the whole "None So Vile" by Crytopsy earlier today in this way), but when I'm in public I can't exactly do this (or everyone would run away and I might get arrested, haha), so I tend to get songs with actual discernible lyrics (like "People=Shit") stuck in my head and play them over and over while "admiring" the mindless flocks of sheep strolling by... :D

I really don't like being angry, I literally get so mad im sick to my stomach. theres no level of pissed off with me, theres 0-120 and your instantaneously fucked. I thank god it takes a lot of a few certain things to rub me the wrong way.
I play stuff that keeps me flatlining when im in a situation where I know I can get frustrated, like when im working on my shadow. high tension situation since its my only means of transpo.

of course, this kind of stuff can be outright irritating once it gets to a certain point
