Your Perfect Band!!!

of course not, but there are rock/metal styles from which more and/or better bands than from other styles emerged. but every style has got it's good and it's bad bands, it's just that there are more bad bands than good bands around ;)

AC/DC would be one of those bad bands. Bunch of talentless annoying fags, if you ask me (which you didn't). Back in Black is the only somewhat listenable tune they put out. I can't believe you consider them to be a great metal band; they were a mediocre hard rock band that got way too much attention.

It's all a matter of opinion so technically we shouldnt dog it.
However my opinion is I have learned some ac/dc stuff and it's so repititous. After awhile it all starts to sound the same. I understand that sometimes less is more.
What makes a band talented ?? How many times they have been on the radio ?? Or how well they know there instrument ??
Are you impressed by commercialism and what the majority thinks is "talent" or are you impressed by composition and good writing ability ??
We can argue back and forth about who sucks and who rocks but it is all a matter of opinion.
The only thing I think (if he still is) that is factual and proved is that Malmsteen is the fastest. Does he still hold that record ?? FACTUAL ??

about ACDC:
their sound has always been the same, the dont develop their style. you could play jailbreak 74 and directly after stiff upper lip and wouldnt notice any difference (apart from the recording quality ;)). some people say that's so bad about ACDC, i say (like most of their fans) that's what makes them so special. ACDC were loved for their first few albums and you all know that proverb: never change a winning team. i consider it actually rather cool to not change style due to fashion, time etc.

regarding their talent jimbobhickville, they are VERY talented. i dont know how much you know about making/playing/composing music, but i can tell that each of them is a very dedicated, talented musician on each of their instruments. e.g. malcolm is just a plain rythm guitarist with no ability to play anything like his younger brother angus, but he's so good at it that he doesnt need to prove the world anything different. and thats valid for everyone of them.

their writing ability is no doubt top class e.g. if you ever listened to the lyrics or ever noticed how much cliff williams plays for the song and not for himself.

i know i probably cant convince those of you who dont like ACDC to suddenly start buying their records, but i hope you gain a little more understanding/respect for them. calling them untalented is not even very insulting but also absolutely wrong, no matter how much you like them or not.
