Tough question. I can't really name any top 10 songs, cuz I don't listen to many relaxing bands. I listen to Lacuna Coil or Katatonia when I'm in the mood for something more mellow and relaxing. Some of the mellower Opeth songs (in particular the whole Damnation album) is relaxing as well.

Cryptopsy - Slit your Guts
Origin - Portal
Nile - Defiling the Gates of Ishtar
Krisiun - Ageless Venmous
Berzerker - No One Wins

These were all jokes.
I don't listen to metal usually for relaxation. I listen to classical for that. But Winds is good relaxing metal.:)

I have to agree with Falling Acension- metal isnt the most relaxing of music. That being said, I really dig A Deeper Kind of Slumber by Tiamat- kinda of psychedlic, metal, Pink Floyd all mixed into one- and somewhat relaxing.

Theater of tragedy - ...a Distance there is...
Jimmy Hendrix - All Along the watchtower
Deftones - Far away (bite me)
Without face - Hymn to the night
Opeth - Windowpane
Opeth - Harvest
All Sentenced's - the cold withe light
Clasical Music
Celtic Music

In no order..

I'll get the two non-metal bands out of the way first:

Sade and The Goos are two of my faves to relax to. Hard to choose particular songs.

Yngwie's instrumentals from his solo debut (I can't pick one)
Wolf Hoffmann's "Classical" album.

Damned : / It's tough to name single songs as I normally have "relaxing" CDs.
