Im not a huge of the UFC, especially after watching a few Pride fights--far superior fighting and fighters but a Jap/Korean league. however, the Rick Franklin guy is amazingly good, and I enjoy watching Chuck Liddell.

How about K1? My fave fighting by far.

The four fights Ive seen of Franklin, he's knocked each guy out without breaking much of a sweat, nor ever even going to the ground. Chucks alot of fun to watch too because of those fast hands. As you can see, the wrestling part of the sport, bores the bejesus out of me.

I have no idea who will win honestly. That Ortiz guy didnt look very good when I caught a fight of his.

They are in different weight classes right? I think Franklin is the better all-round fighter. He's a better kicker, plus he uses his elbows as well as any fighter Ive ever seen. Also, I think Chuck is poor defensively in terms of fighting standing up (he's good at preventing takedowns, but he's pretty cocky about his punching skills, and rather lackadaisacal in his defense--if he ever fights someone as good, or as close to as good as him in the stand up dept. like Franklin, I think he can easily get caught with a big punch or kick) But again, once they hit the mat, I have no idea, and I am totally clueless as to wrestling moves. If they stand up, I at least know whats going on.

So, are you a fighter or something?

Also, is anyone else disappointed about the state of boxing? And what happened to K1 coverage? Im a big fight fan, but its hard to find anything to watch but ESPN classic fights of Sugar Ray Robinson (the best fighter ever), Frazier, Marciano, etc.
 
Here in Belgium there never are fight on TV. That sucks. I used to watch BBC for that.
The only fight that used to be on was WCW (wrestling). I liked that, but they don't show that anymore for about 5 years now. Belgian TV sucks.

I think that's his strategy! we never know what's on his mind! Let us make it this way just watched the fight then if youre fighter win or my fighter wins, we can have a deal for this hehehehehehehe!

I really like both of them, so I really dont care who would win.

Well its good to see someone else that likes fighting. Personally, I'd like to see the UFC get rid of the cage, and also, break up fighters after no more than ten seconds of no activity--where they sit in some hold etc on the ground wrestling. The refs need to break em up more like boxing and Muay Thai.
 
I hate Liddell. I'm hoping he'll jump to Pride and get his ass KO'd by Silva, Shogun and Crocop. And Fedor will pretty much kill him.

Yeah best character from the original SF2 though Sagat, Bison and Ken rule also. And yes I will admit I like Vega also. Heck they are all pretty good.

I couldn't agree more. Pride is waaaay better. But did you miss when Liddell got beaten by 'Rampage' Jackson (I think it was last year?)? Which speaks volumes as to the quality of fighters in Pride.

I have no idea who's gonna win this one... Sylvia has improved drastically since their last fight. Though Arlovsky is an explosive animal. It's anyones guess but it's definitely going to a good fight. Though if I was a betting man, I'd put my money on Arlovsky. I don't think he's going to get beat for a loooong time.

I can't wait to see Ortiz (who's highly overrated...and a dick, IMO) get his ass handed to him by the new guy! That Forrest Griffin/Stephen Bonnar fight was too fucking intense - Ortiz can't handle that kind of intensity.

...And you forgot Matt Hughes vs. Royce Gracie (!!!) That is on Reality Check, correct? Or am I mistaken? [Edit - Oops! I guess I am wrong. I'm thinking of 60.]
In which, although it's going to be sad to see, Gracie is going to get humiliated badly. The sport has evolved tremendously since his fighting days. The fighters are all too well-rounded to get caught in Gracies submissions.
