YT: How much do I suck at drums?

I haven't played in two years, nor had my kit set up in that long.

For those who aren't aware, it's the intro to Orobouros by Gojira, minus one fill, because I can't do double kick anymore

If you had to rate the performance on a scale of 1-10 (ten being the best), what do you say it is?

You look quite tense all the time, quite robotic.. but if I wasn't looking then it sounds pretty damn good, really tight. Try loosen up a bit, and maybe give us a better angle next time ;p

Ghost notes are a bit sloppy, the faster fills aren't very tight, and your kick jumps around quite a bit. I'd give it a 6/10.

I'm not going to have time to play drums for another two years.

Seriously though, that's the first time since summer of 08' I played a kit.

I suppose if I played daily, I'd be a pretty good drummer. I figure it can't hurt to post a video. I'm not really worried about what anyone says. I had fun

Considering this is after 2 years, so what if you're a little tense! This definitely shows you have (had) good technique and will get it back with a bit of practice. I like it man. Considering all the variables - 8 / 10.


Also, why is it that people who post videos have to ask us how much they suck. Anyone can tell you that you don't suck, and I'm sure you know that yourself!

Oh well, at least it's an attempt at modesty which is cool
