YT: Marshall JVM410

Could you please reamp it with files used for the Bogner? :)

Which channel did you use (overdrive 1 or 2, and green, amber, red) :)

Not too fond of this one to be honest. Seems a bit unclear compared to the other amps, like it needs more treble, but there's still this constant "shhhhhhhhhh" white noise going on in the background. A bit heavy on the gain possibly?

I like it, lots of character (to my ears at least :P ). How loud is the noise/hiss when not playing? Guitar/pups?
Cheers

the noise is almost unbearable, esp. with a TS in front, it's BY FAR the noisiest amp I've played

Hehe, I got the exact same amp here and can confirm that. The damn thing made so so mad in rehersals that I got myself an Engl V.S. Ltd. :heh: Apart from the noisyness it's a cool amp with a huge versatility (f.e. clean green is awesome) and tons of gain. Unfortunately the HCF versions carbon "tolex" gets damaged too easy. If one of Megadaves units gets a scratch he can simply order a new one. I've allready retired mine from gigs. But again cool amp for recording because you can get allmost every Marshall sound in one device.

I realy liked the sound of your clip, that's all I want to hear out of a Marshall. Maybe a tiny little bit more precision would serve the song better. Good choice on the channel, along with OD1 red that is my favourite as well.

yeah, that carbon tolex tears so easily!
you just look at at and it rips...definitely not as durable as it looks...my DM cab looks like it had been on 10 tours already....though I've only used it in the studio VERY CAREFULLY.

Jep, mine rode about 1000km in a car and was used in two shows and looks like it's been thrown arround at a 80's punk concert.

I read about a trick to handle the noisyness. Something about replacing the preamp tubes with different models. It said the original ones are realy bad. Has anybody tried this?
