This is a band we recorded awhile ago and just finished. This is the final product so nothing will be changed mix wise. But Check it out and feel free to give your opinion on it

Man how much is the gain reduction, -666db?

Sounds brutal and all but a bit on the thin side and slightly harsh in the upper range.

Woah mega crushed, although you can tell there's a good mix hiding under all that compression!

Yeah it is pretty crushed but it work's for this kind of music. thanks for the comment's guys

yeah, i kind of crushed the fuck out of it. It sounded good to me at the time. but I knew I was walking a VERY thin line between too much compression or an absolute total lack of glue. i went with the 'it's probably too much' method too retain the glue but it resulted in some pretty annoying pumping. I can still dig to it =D

I have the feeling that you guys destroyed a great mix in the mastering process

I mean everything sounds great but this pumpin and "sound-waving" just isnt my cup of tea.

I don't think we destroyed it at all. it is pumping a lil to hard but not enough to make it not enjoyable for most people. but the band was extremely happy with it and really that's all that matter's in the end . but thank you for the comment buddy.

lol, the mix is quite loud and wimpy. I'm curious about hearing the mix before mastering.
