Favela of My Dismay
Thread inspired by Nate stating that he no longer spends money on music.

So I took the last 5 minutes of my work day to add up all my online transactions from the turning of the year up to this date. Excluding concert costs and a few scant purchases made at Amoeba, I dropped a grand total of $1,248.77 on new album purchases. :ill:

Much less than the past 5-6 years, though December might make up for it as I intend to perform some major classical music hauls. So far I got about €600 lighter I'd say.

not a single fucking idea

my money management scheme is like this:

is there enough money in my bank account currently to buy the thing i want? if yes, buy. if not, don't buy.

then i forget everything about it

January 1 to November 25 - Primarily music and some shirts - concerts and things I bought with cash obviously aren't included.

~4.6K USD roughly, likely a bit less since I overestimated.

That's still all kinds of fucked up..

SO DO I VOTE OVER 2K OR VITTRA?!~?

I'd say I've bought 75 CDs so probably ~1100. Doesn't bother me at all. I usually spend about $100 a month, if I can. The last two months have been $150 because I'm a high rollin' grad student.

About $150, including CDs, concert tickets (excluding cheap local shows), and band shirts. Unless I'm forgetting something. Haven't been able to afford much other than everyday necessities, especially now that I'm a pewr college student! What I already have in my library + Derick's stuff + what I can listen to online has been keeping me content enough.

400€ or something. Mainly in boxsets and Japanese imports. I expect to spend the triple or more asap. My RYM wishlist is already approching 200 items and I haven't been through everything.

I had to stop keeping a wishlist. It was completely out of hand and somewhat depressing. Since my memory is shit, it's a lot less stressful when I am able to buy something...I only have to choose between a handful of items as opposed to a couple pages worth.

I had a fairly major drop in pay at the start of last year, and as a result am now a poor cunt loafing off me old man again, and have not spent that much on CDs the last couple of years. Plus I spend too much on my other expensive hobby these days, in fishing. So yeah, $300 - $500; complete guesstimation. Factoring in concerts, probably another 500 on top of that, at least.
