whats the point of this? How are modern metal bands bad compared to earlier ones? Sure we have bands like Vampires Everywhere who are considering themselves "metal", but we also have bands like Nevermore, Meshuggah, Behemoth etc. who keep metal in good taste. Im really interested on your take on all of this tbh

ffs.. swallow your "br00tal pride" and accept the fact; Your guys taste in music sucks, its all about the 80's.

All that second bar graph "technically" shows is that Metal has become a popular enough genre to support an immense number of artists :D

And that should be a good thing..

The quantity of shitty bands continues to grow, because the quantity of total bands does as well. It's all proportional. The good ones are still out there. You remember good bands of the 80's and 90's only because they're the memorable ones... the generic shit gets forgotten, and that's how it should be.

Bullshit.
I listen to ALLOT of really obscure 80's music, and it was more thought through then most modern music i listen to.
That being said its not all shit today, but i still say that there where more good bands in the 80's then today.
(With obscure stuff i mean unknown demo-bands etc.)

Shotgun Messiah of the 80's VS Bullet For My Valentine of our generation.

I think that's an example of the message he's trying to give off. If so, I heartily agree.

Sort off.. but Harry K Cody really is kickass on the guitar.. seriously, i have never heard anything like his playing. ;X
