I have no source for this but sounds interesting....

Genesis, The Police, Van Halen....so why not Led Zeppelin? The source isn't the most reliable on earth, and we've heard this all before...but here's the story.... let's see what happens... LEGENDARY rockers Led Zeppelin are set to re-group after 22 years for a money-spinning stadium tour of America. The three surviving members — singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones — plan to hit the road next summer. The trio hope to pocket £6.4million for the shows. Robert, 54, Jimmy, 58, and 56-year-old John Paul met two weeks ago at the offices of their management firm Trinifold. They buried the hatchet over Page and Plant's 1990s tour, which John Paul only learned about from a newspaper. A band insider said last night: "If the right offer comes up they will do it." Trinifold added: "Jimmy is itching to do something, but there is nothing firm yet." Zeppelin split in 1980 after a booze binge killed drummer John Bonham. His son Jason Bonham is set to play drums on the tour. The band, famed for songs like Stairway to Heaven and Whole Lotta Love, are second only to the Beatles in worldwide album sales. They still hold records for crowds at their 1970s concerts. A music industry insider said: "They had so many hits that I am sure the reunion would be a major success."

From what I heard Page already wanted this years ago. It was Plant that refused consistently.

I am in fact hoping for a reunion and I will be going to see them. I have never seen them and Zeppelin was my first real favorite band. For me it all started with Led Zeppelin when I heard 'A Whole Lotta Love' in 1971.

I really don't think they should do it... consider Robert really doesn't have much of a voice for some of Zep's songs and Page isn't much anymore neither... Jason Bonham is no John Bonham... about the only one who can still perform well will probably be Jonesy... if anything I would go see it just to say i saw Zeppelin because they are my 1st or 2nd fave band of all time (along with Pink Floyd) but i wouldn't hold my breath that it would be a great performance... their hey days are gone...

Holy moly that would be ultra awesome - I'll see youse down the front for that one. I adore Zep but obviously am too much of a bring young thing:saint: to have seen them but I saw Robert Plant last year and I tell you something, there was nothing wrong with his voice at The Barrowlands, he was in fine form and when he first walked onto that stage the noise from the applause he got was totally deafening. HE IS A LEGEND. And he was only on the stage for about 30 seconds before some lassie threw her bra at him hehe!!!! And no it wasn't me:lol: He sang about 6 Zep songs and they were all sensational, Black Dog, Four Sticks, Going to California etc., Gallows pole awesome., and he finished up with Whole Lotta Love and I'm not joking, the last chorus of that song went on for about 15 minutes cos there was no way we were gonny let him get off that stage. BRILLIANT CONCERT!!!!

Thats great news Princes! I would also love to see them.

And as far as I know he STILL refuses. Talk of a reunion has been around since the 80's and it really isn't even a rumor - just wishful thinking by Zep fans.

Overrated? Sixx, you obviously haven't heard of Nirvana

I've been suggesting they use Jason Bonham for years. Hopefully it'll happen. Dunno if I'll go because ticket prices will be insane. If people will pay $200 to see Paul McCartney then they'll pay that to see Zep.

Not to be blunt in my opinion, but it'll never happen. Everytime the rumors start flying I read an interview with Robert Plant a few months later and he says something like, "No, I'm not interested. That's just the press talkin'....."

I don't see it. I would say, though, that anyone who didn't check out the last Strange Sensation album should do so. RP is doing some good stuff now all his own. And he's singing better than he has in awhile. Not like the old, old days.....but sounds fine.

And don't let the above pessimism fool you, I'd be the first in line, believe me.....

this was discussed at the megadeth forum about a month ago. its old news. super old news. look at the dates and ages. look weird to you. zeppelin will regroup after 22 years but they broke up in 1980 after bonham died. this is an article from 2002. everyones age is roughly 4 to 5 years wrong and zeppelin has now been broken up for 27 years.

Robert Plant and Strage Sensation's Album, The Mighty Rearanger wich came out in 2005 is absolutely brilliant, it could be compared to albums like Fate of Nations as far as I'm concerned.
That said, his voice is the last thing to be worried about.
I say go for it, there's nothing that'll please me more than to hear those lot jammin together again.

Yeah, Mighty Rearanger was the one I was talking about. A great album. Saw him on the tour too, and it was great. The last time I had seen him was the Now and Zen tour....

I saw Page on his Outrider tour i think in 1988... he played well but was obvious his heyday has long passed him...

Yup. I saw that tour as well. Jason did fine on the drums. Stariway as an instrumental with the crowd singing the lyrics was a once in a lifetime deal for those of us that were too young to see Zep in their prime. It was close enough that my imagination and snippets of The Song Remains the Same soundtrack filled in what prolly should have been. I wouldn't trade that one show for anything.

I also saw Page and Plant on their first Unledded tour way back in the early (mid?) 90s. That was pretty good too.

Jason never impressed me.. he's a Bonham but he's no John Bonham... but that was my favorite part of the concert.. the Stairway instrumental... wish i had snuck in a tape recorder to that show... was one of the few shows in my life that i was sober to...
