Jasun said I could go ahead and announce this…

I've been working with Zero Hour to Hook them up (pun intended, see NY) with a few dates, and here is the latest development:

Zero Hour will be concluding their first east coast tour at the infamous Jaxx in Springfield, VA (near DC) on Saturday, November 11th!!!!

Doors are at 6:30, and the show is all ages. Tickets are $12 in advance (from Odin's Court), and $15 at the door. It is imperative that you buy tickets directly from Odin's Court. This is how both Zero Hour and Odin's Court will be paid for this show, so in order to support either/or bands, please get tickets here.

I'm working with Jaxx to make sure the lineup for the evening is fitting. We've got a bunch of GREAT regional/local Prog bands opening the show including Brave, Encompass, and Ephemeral Sun. Should be a fun show, and I hope some of you mid-Atlantic folks will be there!

PROG ON!

The Bank of America Pavillion is a great outdoor venue on the harbor.
Alternately, a smaller but equally cool place is the Paradise Rock Club near Boston University. There's also The Palladium in Worchester Massachusetts west of Boston, a popular venue. It's kind of a run down building, but a ton of bands play there.

I'll be in school so I'm really crossing my fingers for a more westerly spot like Albany, Rochester or Buffalo NY, but barring those, I'm gonna try driving to the nearest because I don't want to miss you guys!!!

I called Paradise Rock Club a couple times for the past 2 weeks, and can't seem to get anywhere with that. I'll try Palladium - that places looks good too.

The Pavillion is probably too big - plus it may be cold in November. ;)

Thanks for the info!!

Hey Kenneth thank you so much for the help man and letting Matt know the info....YOu just RULE for taking your time out to help us out man and I want you to know that ZH really appreciates it man.

YOU RULE BRO and thank you again.

Jasun

YOU RULE KENNETH and please come up and say hello if we don't see you first.

Yeah, the Pavillion is probably too big, and it'll definitely be cold. I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of size, but there is also THE MIDDLE EAST (booking: middleeastbooking@gmail.com) and THE ROXY (though I think this may be better suited for more corporate-funded bands), then there is T.T. THE BEAR'S PLACE (booking: booking@ttthebears.com), ridiculous name, but an historic Boston venue for hardcore and metal. There is also some disclaimer on their bookings page, which I find to be a bit pretentious considering, not sure if Zero Hour fits the criteria, though. Maybe this club has changed since I last went there? Can't hurt to try, though.

There's also LUPO'S (booking/info: info@lupos.com) in Providence, RI (a short ride from Boston).

Thanks for all the info dude -- that was some good stuff! I'm sure Matt will contact them tomorrow (if he hasn't already) Same to you Kenneth! Y'all are delivering the goods! :) Looking forward to meeting everyone during our trip.

I've never been to Boston and its about a 7 hour drive from my house, so I'm looking forward to hitting a new city! I really, really hope something shakes! How is the metal crowd up there on a Wednesday?

I am really getting pumped about this. I just got done practicing, but earlier I took a short break to play my GF some PoO (As Winter's Fall and With These Words) and ZH (Stratagem) to get an idea of what to be in store for! Needless to say, the rest of my practice session was MUCH more fun! Listening to that (and playing along with some of Stratagem) really pumped me up! This is definitely going to rock!! HELL YEAH!!!

In all seriousness, it truly is a HUGE honor to get the opportunity with a band that I have been a huge fan of ever since I first found Union/Solace on Dr. Mosh's website - I was hooked on first listen! It is the very site and era where I also "discovered": Enchant, Symphony X, Lemur Voice, and a few others. Jasun, Troy, Mike, and Chris, not only are you all awesome musicians, you are all genuinely some of the coolest, nicest people I have ever met! We've hung out over the years at ProgPower -- its going to be cool as shit to do that in an even more relaxed state! BTW, Reading is about 60-80 minutes away from my house.

And again I say, HELL YEAH!

Later...

Some more details on these dates...

Friday, November 10th in Brooklyn, NY at THE HOOK
Saturday, November 11th in Springfield, VA at JAXX

We can really use the support on both of these dates as we hit the road with Zero Hour to bring Prog Metal to the northeast.

If you are going to THE HOOK show, it is very important that you tell them “I came to see Odin’s Court & Zero Hour!”. This will allow Odin's Court AND Zero Hour to get paid and help cover our high expenses to go on the road.

If you are going to the Jaxx show, you must pre-order tickets from us so that both Odin’s Court AND Zero Hour can get paid. This is our “home” market, so we really hope everyone will be out in large numbers to put a cap on what we hope to be a great first time out on a mini-tour! Tickets are available on our website or MySpace through PayPal or credit card. For check or money order, make out a check to “Matt Brookins” for $12 per ticket and mail it, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:

Odin’s Court
PO Box 1364
Lexington Park, MD. 20653

HELP REQUESTED:
We’re looking for volunteers to help promote our tour via street team type tactics (i.e. hand out flyers at nearby and/or similar shows in areas we’re playing, e-advertise through message boards, email, etc.), and so forth. In exchange for your help, you may get free stuff or the ability to hang with us before/after the show. :D

Also, if anyone is interested in sponsoring a CT or MA date, we would love to talk to you. Beyond Ear Candy has agreed to sponsor the NY date, and DC SOAR is sponsoring the VA date. Sponsorship can take several forms, so please email matt @ odinscourtband.com to find out more. We’ll of course try to work something out some benefit to you for your sponsorship as well.

…COURT IS NOW IN SESSION:
Don’t forget that you can still preorder our new DVD and receive a free copy of the concert on audio CD signed by the entire band! Preorders are still being taken, and the DVD is slated for a 12 September release. However, if you preorder it now (or have already), it will be mailed to you as soon as we get them in! More here: ...Court is Now in Session

Rock on!
- Matt
