Voted for Tonight's Decision. Maybe it's because it was my first Katatonia album, but there is so much depth to it. That album is a doctrine of despair. It's incredible.

Ephel Duath are great. Manes Cult of Luna to an extent. I found myself in your situation too I went to avant-garde, and sludge, post rock/metal. Isis and Neurosis, God Is An Astronaut and Explosions In The Sky might refresh the palette.
