    2011 Albums

Just listened to the new Yes album for the first time and I am blown away. Production is excellent (as usual) giving you breathe-taking harmonies, crunchy bass lines, and wonderful arrangements. The new singer (Benoitt David) is very good and Geoff Downs (who played in the Buggles and the former...

Where you disappointed in the sound mix when you saw them?

The Trocadero is a very small venue--an old opera house----the size of a high school auditorium--- so there was no reason for it not to sound just GREAT

Where you disappointed in the sound mix when you saw them?

Hello fellow Sym X fans--I saw SymX for the first time at the Trocadero in Phila. Pa. early on in this tour. Loved the show, but was very disappointed in the quality of the mix. The beautiful harmonies these guys can do just could not be heard. Personlly, I think they should fire their sound...

    Favourite song from "Iconoclast"

When All is Lost----I really like the whole album---Personally I would like to see more "normal" vocals rather than the growl that typically accompanies his voice. And more harmony---these guys harmonize SO well it gives me chills. I would never expect Sym X to be a "light" band that does...

Sym X show @ Trocadero in Phila. Pa

Went to see Sym X for the first time last night and they did an awesome show(although I thought that the "mix" did not have the harmony vocals loud enough)--winding up with Odyssey as an encore. I love this band--such talent. Romeo blazes on the guitar. I have to say also that I find it hard to...

What are the chances that Iconoclast will release with a 5.1 Surround Sound DVD?

I just gotta comment here. I bought Paradise Lost in the normal stereo CD when it came out only to find a 5.1 mix on the shelves shortly thereafter---Grrrrr. Anyhow, like one of the other people said, it DOES sound fantastic in 5.1. A DVD audio version would be awesome. I used to sell Acuras for...

    The Odyssey vs. Paradise Lost

Another person referred to the "rough voice"---I am with him. I see no need to "growl" as I put it when you have such a great voice. Odyssey does indeed have more melodic moments which I also like. Have tickets to see them in Phila. in April and I can't wait !

5.1 Release on the new album?

I bought Paradice Lost right away only to find a 5.1 version on the shelves not long after. I bought it too and believe me it's the way to hear SymX. Do you think the new album will be released in 5.1?

    The death of CD's

As a musican and lover of great music I have invested a LOT of money into my sound system. Being forced to listen to compressed music definitely does not work for me
