Was this directed at me? If so, I just bought them... heading in early for sound check, and I get to meet the band. Luckily since they're still playing clubs and what not, it didn't break the bank. So stoked!! started listening to the melvins too, it's gonna be a great show.

I just checked out charm city and they are sweet, thanks for the heads up, i had just dismissed them. I think the crue is just trying to get into a new market or reach out to a different generation moreso w/ the fest.

the thing that gets me is that most people that listen to metal/ hard rock these days look at it that if the music is in anyway catchy or able to be played on a normal radio station format it just sucks. What's wrong with having a little edge, but at the same time writing with hooks and...

old dp was good though. the sinner album had some heavy tracks w/ it. maybe some of their songs do get over-used but then again there have got to be enough people that listen to them if they get that kind of attention.

Thanks for the reccomendation, they were pretty good. And I do like Weather Report as well, but right now I'm getting stoked to see RTF. It's nice to see more jazz & jazz fusion fans around here.
