As per some of the tests me and my friend did this weekend, I made a video. This compares the Helix with the Axe FX2 and my 5150III 50-watter. IR is the same in all cases, apart from the real amp+cab+mic combination.
Cheers guys. Yeah I had a kind of Deftones versus Tool thing in mind - I wanted the low-end to be much tighter and present than our previous album, so my references were 10,000 Days and Diamond Eyes. I love how the clank of the bass is really obvious on those albums. I swear though, it's all...
I doubt they'd ever do it. Those guys owe their careers to their skills, and just selling away their unique styles in a midi pack? Don't see it happening.
Good call! I didn't detail any of that out.
Mine:
1991 Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom with Seymour Duncan Distortions in the bridge and neck, although I didn't use the neck pickup at all on this album. The amp was a VHT Sig X into an Egnater Tourmaster 4x12 angled cab loaded with V30's...
Yeah dude, most of the time the L1's on the busses aren't doing a damn thing. But every now and then there will be a peak that it catches. Just for safety, and I find them transparent enough that it doesn't really do much when it's not active.
We just released our third album at the start of September. I've had a bunch of people question me about the production, so I did a bit of a walkthrough. Hope you like it!

Hey y'all - new Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster album, now available:
http://bridgedisaster.co.uk/
It's called Wires/Dream\Wires and has been in the making since 2012. A few personnel changes meant we stumbled a bit, but now onwards and upwards!
Hey all!
In case you didn't already see, Acle from Tesseract got in touch with FXpansion a while ago to get his Kontakt product BFD-ized, which is what I've been working on for the past few months. It got released yesterday:

I'd *LOVE* to do a 10,000 Days inspired kit. Danny Carey is my favourite drummer, next to Brann Dailor, and Thomas Pridgen. We do have more plans for future expansions, so I'll keep it in mind.
