Surely it has to do with the bands music and ethos. For example if a band releases an album on which the majority of sings are three to three and a half minutes long, have catchy sing-a-long chorus' and simple repetitive riffs which are clearly designed to be radio friendly then they are...

ManOWar kill. I've been listening to a fair amount of Iron Savior of late, missed them playing at Bloodstock though - anyone here see them?

Good to see Bolt Thrower on that list but on the whole it made me scratch my head a tad, maybe Terrorizer is attempting to join the likes of Kerrang! and Metal Hammer at the lowest rung of the ladder.

I always dismissed this Lyle fellow and his posts due to that animation thing but since the two songs you've recomended so far have both been crackers, in their own ways, I just felt I had to comment. The greatest song...hmm...the greatest (ho ho ho) song I think I own is that massive ManOWar...

Although going downhill somewhat the magazine still depth charges Kerrang! out of the water, I was looking through the gig listings in said pile of arse and had to wade through Avril Lavigne, Rooster and the like to find anything buried in the small print.

Somewhat off-topic but an old associate once got acosted in Norwich by some youths wearing Limp Bizkit t-shirts who had seen his Iron Maiden jacket, they asked if liked metal and he said yes, they reply: "you can't like heavy metal, you've got long hair!"

Totally irrelevant really but when I was in college we had to do a presentation on communication in a certain aspect of society and I did mine on Communication Within A Moshpit.
