Why not just hit ctrl+l to hide the takes besides the one you're selecting for the comp? But I suppose that is true. I don't really comp anything besides vocals since everything else is just easier to track until each section is right, so I probably don't fully understand your woes :p

Hey FarBeyondMetal if you have the multitracked items grouped there is an action to go to next and previous take and it will cycle the grouped items. I'm not sure what it is by default but i have next take as T and prev take as Shift+T. i find that easier than other daws.

all the free amp sims and ir loaders are pretty big resource hogs but you shouldnt be having issues with just one track. maybe give lecab a try instead of nadir?

glenn iv had problems with slate plugins sometimes if my computer crashes while working on huge projects. if its the same problem that i was having just go to User>appdata>slate digital and delete any preference files and it should load back up after that.

I kinda dig the subscription based slate as long as they keep the option to buy outright. I like the idea of being able to re-try plugins I didnt buy that i already used my demo trial for and maybe use it to add another 30 days even after the trial to solidify if the plug is really worth it...

right click the click audio and select source properties and you will see all the normal features of the metronome and can change it there.

Man I wish they had a non-mac version of the ensemble. These are the kind of features every modern interface should have. Dual reamping and a built in talkback on top of high quality everything.

No problems for me in reaper even with automation and what not. I wish the 1176 had the all buttons mode but even with that flaw, they are much more interesting than other ITB eqs and comps i have. things will saturate and get squishy and even distort a little on extreme settings. so, regardless...

it seems like you could def do all of this with pro-q 2 but i think this will force a different way of thinking. maybe forcing cooler eq decisions (like changing the character of the eq or even automating the character) . i like the idea of this eq. i wish each band had its own character control...
