    Good Brutal Tech Death

Technically not, but they ARE brutal, and they play extremely proficiently. Just because they don't wank off their guitars and stuff as obviously as Necrophagist hardly means that they're not technical.

    Prog & Avant-Garde

Could anyone suggest any progressive rock or avant-garde bands? Some prog bands I like are Tool, Porcupine Tree, Queen, Opeth, Alchemist, and the like. Some more avant-garde bands I like are Mr. Bungle, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Arcturus, Diabolical Masquerade.

    Post-Metal/Rock?

    Bossk and Swans are good.

    Good Brutal Tech Death

Deathcore isn't technical death metal. I'll second Demilich, Origin, and Gorguts. Great bands. I'll also add Anata, RotInjected, Suffocation, and Immolation to the list.

    Kamelot-esque?

Ooh, thanks for the recommendations. I especially enjoyed Kiuas. I'll have to look into them. Also, I already have bothe D&W albums, but thanks for the recommendation =)

    Kamelot-esque?

I was wondering if anyone knew any power metal bands that sound like Kamelot. I'm pretty tired of only finding bands that sound so overly flamboyant like Rhapsody, Hammerfall, and other generic bands. Other power metal preferences are Blind Guardian and Pharaoh, if anyone has recommendations...

    Doom that's drugged out sounding

Not doom really... but Alchemist is pretty trippy music. Witchcraft has some nice psychedelic rock and folk songs.
