    Favourite Band

It's too hard to name a favourite band. It's more about good albums for me. That said, there are, in the metal genre, two albums that come very close to perfection to me: - Dream Theater - Images & Words - Circus Maximus - Isolate I like everything CM has put out, but not everything DT has put...

    It´s too bad...

It doesn't even have to be daily. Weekly or even monthly would be fine as well. I agree that bands don't have any obligation or anyhting to do this but as CantoX points out, it's relatively easy and cheap and very rewarding for the fans.

So, now that NINE is out, what are people's opinions?

Yes, do that. That really made me appreciate the album more. My favs are I Am, Game Of Life and Architect.

So, now that NINE is out, what are people's opinions?

To me it's a great album that I enjoy a lot. But somehow I don't think they topped Isolate. Nine doesn't have the same impact on me as Isolate. To me Isolate is very close to being a perfect album. I've heard it so many times now but I keep discovering new things and there's just so much going...

    Your favourite Mats moment

Haha I forgot to mention I was talking about the guitar solo on "Game Of Life". I also think "I Am" has amazing guitarwork in general, especially the rhythm parts and the unison.

    CIRCUS MAXIMUS @ProgPower Europe

Was there yesterday and of course it was AMAZING! I was really blown away by how tight this band is. Also all the backing vocals were very, very good! Great choice of songs as well, the following ones I heard: - Forging/Architect Of Fortune - Namaste - A Darkened Mind - Abyss - Sin - Alive -...

Good for you, but this is hardly the place to post stuff like this eh?

    CIRCUS MAXIMUS @ProgPower Europe

Seems like I'll be there! I'm curious how long they'll be allowed to play and what songs they choose! Really looking forward to see them for the first time. Would love to meet Mats but I guess that'll be pretty impossible...

Circus Maximus - Nine: My Review

Not to me. A great album for sure, which I enjoy very much but it doesn't have the impact or the dynamics of "Isolate" which remains my favourite CM album. On Nine there's a few great songs, on Isolate it's mostly amazing songs.

    Your favourite Mats moment

With a new album, there's a new favourite moment on "Nine"! I think the guitar solo is absolutely amazing, especially the machine gun effect in the beginning. Would love to see original tabs of this, hint hint Mats??

    THE OFFICIAL STUDIO REPORT

Thanks, heard it as well now. Good song, but nothing really groundbreaking.
