thanks for the comments :) at that time, i was planning to cover "at the end of the bridge" but after then i wanted a bigger challenge, and decided to cover "Eternal". it's a beautiful masterpiece with the melodies, lyrics and all. i started the song but it's seriously hard to give the same...

sure :) i will share the synth settings besides the pod xt guitar patches (someone else asked for it before, i was so lazy sharing...) tonight when i'm back at home. i didn't play with the 80s lead's default settings much, but i heavily EQed to fit it into the song.

hello, thanks for the compliments :) yeah, that 80s synth lead directly comes from one of Cubase's built-in synth vsts. i can't recall the name atm.

it was almost impossible for the guitarists to hear my vocals when i sang the song in the low key (the original vocals) in a very loud studio. so i had to sing it in a higher tone to make the vocals audible, and lost the control of the vocals many times because i was not used to sing it that...

a typical outcome of a bad english :) yes i will sing the song in lower key when recording, i had to sing it in a higher key in the video, because neither me nor the band members could hear the vocals since the studio room was so loud :lol:

aye, similar but that happens sometimes, you found out a melody from the depths of your mind, and 2 years later you are suddenly shocked while listening to one your favourite songs from your childhood that you almost forgot 15 years ago. :) or it may be pure luck too. there are endless...

yeah, music is the common point that makes people come together, as it is gathering us in this forum, and yeah Dan has an incredible talent that amazed me since i listened to his songs for the first time back in 1993. it's really something good that people can share and talk about their similar...
