Please upload a file of your playing as DI - let me have a go with my amps to see if there is any difference. What IRs are you using? Some built in IRs in some amp sims are really weird sounding. Please record a DI with a lot of Riffing, Chugging, Open Chords and another DI with Lead Playing...

It is just a suggestion, but additionally to picking harder, maybe try to angle the pick? This way the pick "scrapes" a little bit over the string, giving it a more percussive note. I got this from Devin Townsend at 03:24. Here you can also see how hard he digs in as soon as he angles the pick...

Hey guys, I mixed a new song of my band. And as the singer I'm always asking myself "Does my voice fit to the band's sound?" So, what do you guys think about it?

I like the guitar tone. To me that's a sound for a more synth-oriented mix because it leaves a lot of room for the synthies, overdubs etc. But I think this sound wouldn't work in a live setting. Also the guitars sound like Nightwish to me.

Thanks! I looked through his work and altough his designs are professional looking, his style is more like death/black metal based which is not what we are looking for. We are looking for a easier readable design (Metallica, Trivium etc.)
