Yeah. Opeth will be on their third lead singer and playing some really gay, radio-ready rap-metal and you'll have that big 'O' on your neck. ;) Actually, Opeth is never going to become a crappy band.

Hey, I saw that video..."Strip The Soul" from their "In Absentia" album. I liked the song so much I bought the album. Brilliant!

Right now, "The Master's Apprentice" is my favorite song on "Deliverance". I love that middle section with the clean vocals and the "aahs. Just as you are lulled into that tranquil place in your mind you get hit square in the gut. Love it!

The beginning of "Deliverance" - the song, not the album - sounds like "Nothingface"-era VoiVod. Anyone else?

I use a strategy that I've used before: ease 'em into it. I let them hear "Harvest" and "The Drapery Falls" a few times. After a while they get used to the death vox. It's worked now every time but once (he was hopeless).

As far as my pre-Opeth heavy music goes I listened to Dimmu Borgir, Slechtvalk, Antestor, Emperor and Kekal. However, death/black metal is not my favorite type of music.
