    Audio interfaces 2016

Thanks, would you mind talking about your setup? So you're using the DI to record guitar tracks, are you always monitoring through the DAW with an amp sim then? I have an Axe-fx that I'd like to use for monitoring and recording. I've always connected my guitar to the Axe-FX and connected its...

    Audio interfaces 2016

My Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 has kicked the bucket after 2.5 years and I am now looking for a new one. It had a lot of inputs however the software had annoying issues and quirks so I'm not in the mood to try Focusrite again. Need: DI Mic input Wishlist: 1/4" R/L inputs in/out MIDI S/pdif or...

    Is it just me or...

I'd like to add that I think changing the main page to "Andy Sneap content only" was a mistake. It should have stayed as a general discussion, that page has barely moved since the change. Having a healthy main page is quite important to lure in new users. The few new threads that are posted...

To Heaven Through Hell - A Tribute To Dio Now Available

No lossless versions were released I believe. Only 320 mp3s, those are the ones I have at least. You can get in contact with Max Morton and ask him nicely.

    Tesseract - Polaris

    Elm Street - Heart Racer

I'm honestly more annoyed by the fact that the FRONT PAGE of this forum is dead than people promoting their work here. I think this discussion might deserve its own thread?

    Sneap Forum Collaboration

I think it was mostly done through PMs. I've PM'd Superfreak the files. For those that weren't here back when we did the Dio tribute here are the tracks...

Yeah, there's a Wasted Years cover waiting for some vocals if anyone is up for that challenge.

    Crystal Planet by Joe Satriani

Nice playing! I agree, the bass is very loud. The rhythm guitars are too quiet as well, which makes the mix loose a lot of the power and dynamic shifts they would have brought.

    Feared 'Synder' Album

For those wondering "synder" means "sins" in swedish. I really liked that animation. And the music was stellar ofcourse.

    Chords or songs first ?

Why not both? Just do what YOU feel is the most fun.

My band Hamferð recorded a video during the total eclipse

What a brilliant idea! I suspected it would look like a sunset like it was here, but instead it turned pitch black. Very powerful.

    Dio Cover (Rate My Mix)

Definitely digging the singing! The drums could use some work as they sound a little washed out, they are lacking a bit of punch, maybe because the guitars are so loud not sure.

    Kamelot - Forever (Vocal Cover)

Great singing. I would work more on the reverb though it doesn't sound that good in my opinion, lower it a lot or take a different sound.

    New Periphery Double Album

I've been enjoying it. I think Spencer has grown a lot, he's great at belting the notes and do it quite tastefully this album, he growls pretty good now as well. What I think he needs to work on now is getting a more intimate and personal voice, this is especially noticeable in the calmer parts...
