    IN FLAMES Clayman Re-recorded 2020

I saw this live show on the Internet some time ago when they had the band name up as lit up letters, and one of them went out for one song, and it said "IN LAMES". That hurt.

Great, great song. The official video is my top 5 of all time, no question. That's what the band has been for a while now, so... I listen (and still enjoy) bands that drastically changed their sound over time as well as the bands that stay true to their "roots". It really doesn't matter as...

Since 2002, apparently: R2R was a breaking point for a lot of "fans", yet personally I still don't see why. But still - Siren Charms did to me what R2R did to a lot of people, however in my case it was the proverbial "last straw". I just couldn't care less any longer. Even newer material is...

It sounded deeper and more consistent in the last live videos I saw, but again, that could be the quality of the recordings. He used to be more all over the place. Not terrible, but OK, now it's noticeably better. About him as a frontman: I used to see them on several dates every US tour back...

This is off topic, but just for the record: I don't own www.thequietplace.net any longer (didn't for quite some time by now). It's really funny to see that it's still up and is actually a fan site dedicated to the band (even if done... differently). Took on a life of it's own, not bad.

I remember Anders bringing up singing from diaphragm (or whatever the technique is) a lot in old interviews when asked about his style. Too bad it took him only 15 years to actually get good at it. Or could be quality of recordings - I couldn't tell from the last time I saw them live just a...

    Ozzfest 2005

I think Rob Zombie was headlining second stage when they came on. I saw them, yeah, it was OK. Their set a few years later at another fest at the same venue in Camden (AILD was headlining) was much, much more fun.

I have a hookup with a local record store around the corner (believe it or not, they still exist!), so I get my stuff a few days early (Wednesday, if it's released on Friday), but when Metallica and my main man Ed S. were releasing their latest records, those were shipped strictly for Friday...

BTW, Come Clarity leaked in full on Thanksgiving the year before (it came out in February 2006, IIRC); I had Crawl Through Knives that summer (which I never ever shared with anyone, but my friends had a listen). Not a case these days.
