    Sequencing Software

Fair play. I am demoing it at the moment, although the version of SX3 that I am using at the moment sounds as good on the audio front and the Drum Editor is so easy. However the midi note editor on Sonar rules.

    Sequencing Software

A DAW is what I am looking for, for good Audio recording facilities and a excellent midi side too, with decent midi editing and drum grid. So is Cubase generally seen as a step forward from the likes of Reaper and Sonar?

    Replacing My Pickup

I'm going to be replacing my Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell in my Kelly and am pretty convinced I'm going to go with a Seymour Duncan SH-13, but am interested on any other ideas you guys and gals on the forum may have. I like the sound of the D Activators I've heard on You Tube and Maybe an X2n...

    Good practise/recording amp

Can anyone hear recommend a good practise amp that not going to piss of the neighbours, that can also back up as a good recording amp. I have about £300 to spend, so second hand is an option. My live rig is a Mk I 5150, if that helps.

    Good Pedal Board

Right need a pedal board to ease on set up time at gigs and save some of mynice pedals from extinction. Looking at something I can use in the Studio too, that would free me up to sell my XT Pro and Vamp Pro. Top of the list is the Digitach RP1000, as it works great with amps and claims to...

    Bare Knuckles for Metal

Miracle Man, but if you love your 81 stay with that, but I'd also try the Seymour Duncan Blackout Metal. It rules!

    Bare Knuckles for Metal

I tend to find there is a definate improvement in the clean tones, but the dirty tones are different. I've just installed a Seymour Duncan Blackout Metal in my PRS Paul Allender, this thing scream like hell, only tried it in my POD XT so far, hopefully get to try it in my rig at the weekend.

    Bare Knuckles for Metal

Is it true that the Bare Knuckle range are best suited for Rock than metal. I know they are low output pick ups so you need to make your amp work more, which is no bad thing. Any truth in this?

    Peavey Viper

I've been trying the Peavey Viper 100 in my local shop and they make good practise amp, lovely tones and since I use a 5150, the models are pretty accurate. However I'd like to get one not only as a practice amp but as a recording tool as well, to take over my POD XT Pr. SO what I'd like to...

    Peavey 5150 Mark 1

It's the Mode Four 400. I'm not really a fan of EMG's either. However I've not tried the JB or Blckouts. Can anyone reccommend a good eq, to get the ball rolling.

    Peavey 5150 Mark 1

I'm using a Rebel Yell and a Custom Pick up which lies between a Miracle Man and a Nailbomb

    Peavey 5150 Mark 1

Done that, got a Maxon OD808, it has gone some way to sort it out, but there is a bit of flab in their still. I tried the Kine 6 HD 147, it came close, but it had no balls!

    Peavey 5150 Mark 1

I'm looking at tightening up my tone just getting abit more crunch similar to Fear Factory. I currently run a Peavey 5150 into a Mode 4 cab, with guitars in C tuning rummimg Bare Knuckle Pups. Any thoughts on how I can do this.
