Don't count on it. While I still really like Nightwish and will gladly buy any new release, I think TH has gone a bit off the deep end. He is a great talent, but if he wants to do film music, well, do film music. I think he is currently relying too much on the orchestra and other elements...

I was at the Dallas show and concur. SA is great, love them. But the openers were just a bit better. Great, great night of music, with three great bands on the bill. Thank God Blackguard was nowhere to be seen.... All in all, half a night of ProgPower spent seven weeks touring North...

Might have to do this one. No Dallas date, and they're playing that absolute crap hole the Diamond Ballroom in OKC, a place I SWORE I never would go back to. Emos in Austin, a maybe, but, in general, with a few exceptions, I expected better venues on the whole for this tour.

Well, of course much of this comes down to taste and opinion, and all of us have our own on both counts and no conclusions or resolutions are possible. I really like lots of the new record and am enjoying it immensely. My concern, though, is about what happens when the excess and gimmickry...
