I like them black more than death, but alot of my favorite bands are hybrids. Dissection, Naglfar, Dawn, Zyklon, Myrkskog (Deathmachine), Sirius (Spectral Transition). The best shit is a band that knows how to blend them and mix it up.

Physical problems.......? He must have made a miraculous recovery seeing as he plays in Voivod now. The old Suicidal Tendencies bassist is in Metallica now. What the fuck is that? Me think$ that he ha$ dream$ of lot$ of quality "mu$ic" and lot$ of ca$h. Just my opinion...

Vesperian Sorrow They are not necessarily under-rated, but are certainly not well-known. Excellent music, excellent live, they just get nowhere near the exposure they should.
