    Happy Birthday Siren!

Belated happy birthday. edit: This 'Responsibly'... sounds interesting, every fucker keeps recommending it, but can I find it on the shelves? No... Someone needs to show me where they're holding the stocks of 'Responsibly'. They just do. Srsly.

Political discussions and other rants about useless things like culture

I can see a lot of logic to a North America and Latin America divide.

Political discussions and other rants about useless things like culture

I remember a tv show not so long ago where it betrayed the basic inability of quite a few Britons to point out cities in their country. Ignorance is the order of the day in all countries. I'm not certain whether the fact Americans make the most high profile gaffes on this score is the fact...

We are Nick! But I don't want to be old yet. And yes, while they've had many fine hours, the Gallery is the highest.

And then it takes me a couple of months to post again... Belated congrats on your new job Salmy! I'm only getting round to getting We Are the Void... read some reviews, made me feel old all these people talking about Character and Fiction as their greats and not one mention of the Gallery...

So... do I congratulate British TV as an entity for having the good taste to show both OUATITW and Taxi Driver... or do I rage agains them for putting them on at the same time? Rage, yes. Definitley rage. That said, Bronson and Fonda remain as great as ever.

I do know what you mean about British humour, there is something that doesn't always translate. Good taste on the Kubrick love - FMJ is a classic. Probably my favourite war movie (that or Zulu, two different kinds of movie), was my favourite film period... until I saw Dr. Strangelove and...

The meaning of life takes unfair flak imo, its a bit hit and miss but I see it as a fine part of surrealist humour. But then, I completely love Monty Python in all its forms. Also - not certain how many here rate their war films, but to those that do - check out The Beast. You won't regret...

Post a random fact about yourself

Fact: I have done basic infantry training, rarr I'm well 'ard innit (no I'm not). Also, I only get tired/thirsty after getting drunk as well. It rules.
