i like both. petrucci is more flexibel and so better than romeo. but this is not important. both are great composer and guitar player and they use their good technik for their songs. the song has priority. petrucci on older albums. is not the speed that i love in his soli, it is the strukture...

on earlier albums petrucci plays high level composed guitar soli, but here are only malmsteen soli (malmsteen soli was good until odyssee). it is only fast, but not really good. one thing of this album is positive. you can here a powerful bass. it is more in front. a band must have good bass...

i am really disappointet. metallica make better heavy metal. better songs. there ist no "chart" hit on this album. symphony x dies it better with the odyssee it is a heavier album, but there a very good songs, with many hit songs. you understand my bad english :erk:
