I am going to upgrade my equipment with a new mic (for vocal, screams & shouts) and a new preamp. My budget is ~1000€. I already own a SM7 / Sm57 / audix i5 and several condenser from 100-200€.
My Interface is a presonus studio live 16.4.2

This is was i have in mind :

Rode K2

Golden Age Project Pre-73 MK2

Next project i want to record is the new LP of my own band https://www.facebook.com/maintainofficial

Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help :hotjump:

I'd spend it all on the mic preamp. The SM7b will serve you well with a great pre. Unless you need that "condenser" sound for something specific. No experience with the preamp you mentioned but I do see it get some love on forums and stuff. I use/own a great river 1nv preamp and find it very versatile and sounds great, but there are many other great ones as well. Looking back now , i would have probably bought a 500 series rack and bought the 500 series Great River, then I could start adding more later without having to pay for a power supply everytime. Hope this helped.

yeah, get a really good preamp, the SM7 should be ok for vocals!
the K2 is a nice mic but you probably won't hear a real difference to your other LDC's.

another option would be this bundle:

Universal Audio 710 Twin-Finity Bundle

the preamp without the card costs about 100€ more, that's crazy but its a legit offer...

the UAD is listed 299€, you could probably sell it for 249€ (that's the tricky part) and you have a 795€ preamp for 450€...for the rest of the money you could buy the K2!

of course it only works if the preamp does fit your needs, seems to be a good one, never tried it though.

sorry if i am confusing you! :D
