this i band me and my good friend sam burden produced yonks ago,
they just put down some new vocals, so i knocked up a quick mix. still needs some ear candy, but what do you guys reckon in general ?

I think it sounds pretty sick, but the drums are sort of dominating the guitars. IMO you should bring the guitars out a little more, or lower the drum mix.

Agreed.. sounds well recorded, but it's the drums that are overpowering, and the guitars should be brought up a bit more... cool vocals btw!

guitars are gibson sg sg +seymour duncan jb - maxon 808 - 5150/dual rec - orange 4x12 - 2 x 57 (bob rock) - manley dual mono pre.

mixed on a macbook with pro tools le! using channelstrip for 90 percent of the processing.

For the guitars maybe try a narrow cut at 6.5 khz? I think they're missing some high mids/highs in the 2-4khz area.

As for the mix, I think it could handle a tad more high end and there's something annoying in the low mids...around 185 hz.
