hey guys,

dont know if this has been posted already, if so - im sooo sorry ;-)

man, these speakers all make such a big difference,
its unbelievable. and still :

my vote goes to celestion v30 for rhythm.
mabe blend it with the greenbacks, but the clarity of the v30
is what i love about tone.

hope you guys like it!

i wonder how much of the tone comes from the royer in that video.
but damn, all other speakers sound shit compared to the v30 ;-)

and people always tell me : get tone tubys...

Have it always been the same settings? I think these tests only say so much, because you'd dial an amp differently to different speakers and every speaker sounds differently in another cab and they all kinda have their place.

I like me some Greenbacks for Rock, Seventy 80s for Metal, G12T-75s for live playing and the V30s as an all-around workhorse.

Thanks for posting!! Would be interesting to know with which speaker in the dialed in the sound.
I liked the V30 the most, but the Jensen speaker wasn't that bad either. Never heard of it before though.

I liked the V30 the most, but the Jensen speaker wasn't that bad either. Never heard of it before though.

It's the reason why the earliest Behringer cabs are actually half-decent cabs. They have/had similar Jensen speakers in them, but with ceramic magnets IIRC.

I really liked these for rhythm:

Vintage 30
Greenback
EVM 12L
M222-8

For leads:

T75
Greenback
Seventy 80
Alnico Gold
M222-8

But how would the fit in the mix? I would think that the lead tones I liked especially might bury out a bit as they all sound just a bit tame on the presence.

I gotta say I'm likin the G12-H30 for lead, and the Celestion Vintage 30 for rhythm.
