yet I don't understand why you can't be patient! he'll get into the studio when he feels like it! simple as that! all of us have to wait so why not get a tour going? its alot of fun and IMO the experience is better live and you could get to meet Peter! ain't nothing wrong with that. it's not like he's going to rush into the studio NOW just because you want a new album!!

I agree, I am worried that there will not be a new album until 2009...I cannot stand it when the best bands wait 3 or 4 years between albums...in my opinion so much talent has gone to waste when you wait that long!

If Peter wants to concertrate on Pain for a bit then why not respect that? If you dont like Pain dont listen to them, if you didnt have Pain, Hypocrisy would probably be more electronic/trancy with all the Pain influences.

I'd much rather see Hypoc do a world tour or release a new album than see more Pain released, but, if Peter wants to concerntrate on Pain then fuckin go for it.

Stop whinging and be greatful for the so fuckin many killer albums Hypocrisy have released in the past. Besides, the new album will be out eventually, 2 years aint exactly that long inbetween albums.

i should calm down,and focusing on the former killer album.i'm not sure that i get all the meanings of the music and lyrics.so i will keep working on it.

but i have no idea about the new album if Peter bring his painthing into hypocrisy music.definately,electronic/trancy don't belong to death metal.i don't like electronic/trancy anyway.uke:

but keep in mind that he wanted to stop Hypocrisy after the final chapter..and less than 2 years later we had Self titled, a masterpiece

Now, the ONLY THING IM SAYING, is that IM WORRIED about the fact that Peter is more and more involved into Pain and more commercial type of stuff, and that Im afraid he doesnt feel like doing death metal anymore. Seeing in going back to studio, or making a CLEAR STATEMENT like "We are going back in studio in Jan 2008 we already have a couple of nice ideas and its prolly gonna sound more like...blahbvlah'' now would be a great relief

I dont want Peter to rush into studio if he doesnt feel like it, but man, Im worried about Hypocrisy and its existence

I don't think that Peter is losing his death metal roots. In 2005 he was also really busy with PAIN and other commercial stuff (like writing some pop songs for Liv Kristine) and later on he gave us VIRUS.

As for news about Hypocrisy, this is an except from an interview conducted with Peter just recently:

You are also a frontman in Hypocrisy. What´s the current state of the band?

Peter Tägtgren: Right now our Bass player Michael came a dad for the first time and Horgh is still doing stuff with Immortal. It´s good that everyone can concentrate into their own things and we are going to write some new music when we get back together again in 2008. It´s Pain year this year and we will see what happens during next one.

We can whine if we wish, and I am obviously grateful for their previous albums, that is why I want a new one! It sounds like it will almost be 3 1/2 to 4 years between albums. You make some good points but my intial opinion stands.......when a band I love takes that long to put out a new album I simply feel that it is a waste of talent, you don't live forever.

Swedish death metallers HYPOCRISY have issued the following update:

"As everybody knows, HYPOCRISY has been busy with everything except HYPOCRISY. Horgh [drums] has been doing reunion gigs with IMMORTAL and Peter [Tägtgren; guitar/vocals] has been busy with PAIN. So, as soon as we feel ready we will start writing new material for the next album, then it's full throttle again.
