Just found these recordings from my old bands attempt at a self recorded/produced ep, recorded in the first few weeks of college when none of us knew a thing about recording bahahahha.
Figured you guys could have a go at them. recordings are pretty shitty and both have a problem or two, so I guess it's more an exercise in polishing a turd :p

In all seriousness though, id someone makes these sound pro and I ever meet them, i'll buy them a drink or something :D

Tempo 146
Quad tracked guitars
No floor tom track, Not entirely sure why but logic refuses to recognise it.

No DI's, like I said, recorded in the first few weeks of college when we knew nothing about recording, so none of us understood the importance of them, sorry :(

anyway have fun, and reference mixes (terrible ones), can be found here :)

Ps, If anyone wants them, I've got the files for get away kicking about too, this is just my small attempt at a thank you for all the help with mixing and stuff :)

First of all these files were in m4a format, they do not work with all DAWs, didn't work for mine (reaper) so I had to convert to WAV. Wav and Aiff are the most popular of choice from what I've seen. Second, why are the files chopped up into pieces? I'm not sure if this what the converter did, or if thats the way you have the files? I'ts extremely difficult having to find out where certain tracks begin. Therefore, I didn't add any of the guitar licks, vocals, etc because I had no idea where they began. Just Drums, bass, and guitars. I like the song, I really wish everything would've been bounced down correctly so I could have done the whole song, hence I think its pretty sweet.

+1, everything is pretty messy organization-wise.
