Just thought i'd post a few thoughts about last year.. which was a great year for the band.
Early 2007 saw us finalise negotiations with Napalm and sign on the dotted line for a multi album deal. This was the first time that an Intense album would get world wide distribution which of course was superb.
We went on to shoot a video for Fear Is Not Enough working with our friends at Visual Abuse which was our first professional experience in video shooting and it was shot over 2 days in London.
March/April saw the release of the album depending which territory you lived in. And promotion was full on with the band handling over 100 interviews plus seeing reviews in many more magazines than the previous album. We went on to play shows with Dream Evil, Onslaught, Leatherwolf, Skyclad and a few others .. and despite being a quiet year for us gig wise played Belgium and Germany with only one show in the UK. (more on this another time-reasons why etc)
Working with the label and a booking agent etc, we were hoping to land the slot on a very cool tour which was due to start in Feb... talks went on and on and on (you get the picture) before the tour crashed and burned which left it too late for us to sort anything else out... this was the only low point of the year for us really, but we hope to improve the amount of shows we play this year and land some decent supports.
2008 will be about us getting out live and also we have plans for the next album so when we get something concrete on that, we'll post it here.... We're also planning more website content such as more videos etc and are digging out Bloodstock and 13th Day footage to feature on the site plus interviews with each of the guys etc to give you the complete Intense experience... the interview footage is worth seeing i promise you... we may have to do an outtake section lol...
