I've been listening to this band's demo near-constantly since I got it earlier this year, but I've completely neglected to mention them. Fucking Chalice from Vermont! Awesome heavy metal with a strong Arthurian vibe, lots of mystical folk influences alongside class-act NWOBHM stylings. Vocals can get a wee bit out there but hell I love it. Would love to see these mother folkers at the fest.

Their version of Gaudete is awkward at best but Merlin's Lament is some awesome Pagan Altar worship! Thanks for the tip. If they don't make it to Ragnarokkr I hope they at least venture over to my end of New England.

now is the time to suggest stuff...one thing we are working on is no two bands playing at the same time....so the only downside is less bands.

We are thinking on friday have 4 for second stage and sat at most 5. I am sure near the end it will have some cross over but we are going to try to limit the two bands playing at the same time. Should be interesting.

If you want to see any newer acts on second stage let me know...I have one confirmed...two interested but checking to see if it is doable. I know Odin has one classic band set as well. Spots are going fast.
