Meanwhile some time has passed..
I really enjoy the Desolator album, BY FAR your best release so far, 8/10.
I've played LIK only once, which I enjoyed, but other albums are demanding my attention more because of which I haven't been able to listen to it more.
NECROPHOBIC, the 'more of the same' feeling prevails. The quality is not such that it demands my attention. Slightly better than its predecessor, but a slight feeling of disappointment can't be denied.
MOLASSESS, almost a continuation of The Devil's Blood, a rather lengthy but good album, yet more listening is required to make a fair judgement about it. It definitely has potential.
DEMONICAL, not bad, but also simply does not demand my attention the way "Darkness Unbound" did.
MÖRK GRYNING, great album! Strong, focussed and consistent, I really enjoy it from start to finish. Great comeback.
COUNTING HOURS, I can't believe peeps like Jocke and particularly Stefan aren't absolutely raving about this. The is any Rapture fan's wet dream come true. And not just Rapture, also those who miss the days of Discouraged Ones/Tonight's Decision, Rain Without End/Grey Dawn will cry bittersweet tears of pure melancholic ecstacy upon hearing this fantastic album. It is everything I hoped for. Masterful timing as well, releasing this on October 23rd, mid-autumn going on winter <3 <3 <3
2020 is a terrible year, but for music it has been fantastic for me, it has been many years since so many excellent releases came out in one year. Even in the few months to come there are still several releases to look forward to, such as Dark Tranquillity (I enjoy the advance tracks) and Soulseller Records released advance tracks for Serpents Oath (Belgian black metal), Sarvekas (Finnish black metal) and The Deviant (Norwegian morbid death metal) which all sound very promising as well, they are all releasing on December 4th.
