25pin DSUB connection and inputs

Hi
I've a doubt about these connections...I mean, Apogee and also Digi 192 interfaces have these connection for the analog in's but how I can connect them to the preamps?
Apogee AD 16 for example has 16 in's with the 25pin port, so I connect the 25pin cable to the port but what about the other side of the cable?
How can I connect for example (if it's possible) a Focusrite Octopre LE (it has trs jack output and no 25pin port)?

they can be super cheap! You can get stageboxes that have 25-pin dsub cables on each end. Have a good look around. I would have thought studio spares have very low prices!

If you have AES option you can use RME bob for exemple
