Haha, not for another 28 minutes is it. I actually wasnt to fond of Guardians of Asgaard when i first heard it, hopefully it will be better live

won't get a chance to listen to it today or this weekend...take-home exams are murder. still, it's not all that bad! the extra wait will make it even better :headbang:

Oh YEAH! I was a bit skeptical about "Twilight of the Thundergod", but this is really great!!!
It has that typical Amon Amarth-sound again, that I love so much!
And great lyrics too!
Thank you!!!

This song will be amazing, i expect some fierce soloing skills as well as the great vocal lines and riffs too

anyone attending the release parties have fun

oops
created a thread for this. sorry.
Can't delete it tho0ugh.
Song is awesome. The chorus was clearly written for live, which usually annoys me but in this case is just making me anticipate seeing them more.

I prefer Twilight of the thunder god, its faster and catchier, and i dont think Lg Petrov's vocals fit in the song. They arnt bad in anyway, they just seem out of place when put together with Johan's vocals.

I prefer the new song 10x more over Twilight. Twilight of the Thundergod is awesome, don't get me wrong, there's just one huge drawback for me. I'm guessing the guy from CoB did this because no mighty AA band member would. The part right before the solo, the high pitched guitar shit...ugh just reeks CoB faggotness in an awesome AA song...I hate it. The solo is ok but doesn't fit AA style, but cool nontheless. Please someone agree with me here, seriously that part ruins the whole song for me almost...

It's so fucking corny and out of place...I want to fucking kill that guy..

The pinch harmonics? I thought that bit was great on it's own, if it went in a completely different song, but has nothing to do with anything amon amarth have done.

Yeah I guess it is a harmonic, but it sounds fucking gay as shit.... Didn't the CoB fag do the solo for this song? It shows. Sounds like an intro to a Nintendo boss fight or something, not a solo.

edit: Sorry I hate ranting and being negative but that part really kills me for some reason lol...

Guardians of Asgaard

Standing firm against all odds
Guarding the most sacred home
We protect the realm of gods
Our destiny is carved in stone

The evil giants of the south // L-G
Are constantly on the attack //L-G
They light a pyre from the ----- //L-G
But we always send them back //L-G

We are brothers of the north //L-G
Who are sharing the Allfather's blood //L-G
Marching down the left hand path //L-G (Funny note: LG Petrov is singing this and "Left hand path" is the name of his band Entombed's first album)
We are spawned by Asagods //L-G

'Cause we are, we're the guardians //Both
Guardians of Asgaard //Both
Guardians, guardians of Asgaard //Both
Guardians of Asgaard //Both

We have faced our enemies
A thousand times or even more
Still they can not makes us kneel
One thousand years of constant war

The giants look for any chance //L-G
To bring down Asgaard's mighty walls //L-G
No matter what they send at us //L-G
We will never let it fall //L-G

Standing firm against all odds
We are guarding Asgaard's mighty walls
We protect the realm of Asagods
No matter what they send at us
We will never let it fall
