thanks a lot man! :)

basically i felt like shit spending 79€/104$ for something like this here
RACK
so i decited to build my own rack. this one is the second one, on the first one i used orange synthetic leather, looked really nice!

overall costs were about 25-30€, took me about 4 hours in all to make it.
i just used multiplex wood, rack rails, rack corners, rubber feet, camouflage cloth, sprayable glue.
i can make a step by step job specification for the next one if you like! :)

cheers

This.

Did you just pull the rack specifications from somewhere online and build it from that?
Any problems?

I've got two weeks off starting Thursday, so I'm seriously considering building myself one of these over the holiday period!

yeah, i got the standard dimensions online and just calculated.
actually there's just a few things you have to take care about.
take a closer look at the used rack rails, there are many different rails,
so the standard dimensions may not be absolutely reliable.

if you want put tolex, leadther, cloth or whatever around the rack you have see how thick the used material is and add this to the inside dimensions.

Looks awesome!

For which purpose will you use this and what devices will you put in it?

thanks a lot man! :)
basically i just wanted a nice looking rack that's built like a tank because i felt stupid spending 80€ for something like THIS ONE HERE

i don't have much rack gear atm,
so i offered this one for sale
(same guy who bought the orange style rack)

i think these can be used on stage also, if someone has a simple preamp, poweramp, effect unit setup, the 4U may be perfect...

cheers
