5150 Problems

Ok so im not a genius when it comes to amps but i cannot seem to figure out what is wrong with mine. Turned it on to jam today and there was no sound coming out. Everything is where it needed to be and that shit just wasn't working, if you turn up the volume really loud you can barely hear it making sound.

ANY IDEAS?

try the easiest ones:

- check the cables (esp. speaker cable)
- the fx loop "bug"
- check the tubes

The cables are new, The tubes are new, I has to be something within the amp itself because i plugged another head in and it worked fine so something happened inside the amp. It was cold in my room last night could that have a effect on it?

this. always one of the first things i check if i get a non-working amp to repair
just short the fx-loop with a patch-cable to check the jacks (corrision).

After going through the amp, i found that one of my pre-amp tubes had slightly come out, which in turn was the problem. I took it out and put it back in and everything sounds great again, i was hoping it would be something stupid like that but you never know with these kinds of amps.
