All,

OK, I have heard a lot of feedback on the latest from Six Feet Under....A good portion of which being negative. Personally, I loved it. I am a huge Six Feet Under Band....and I think Bringer of Blood is great. I know a lot of people are turned off by 6FU because of lack of speed, and lack of technicality...but that is exactly what draws me to the band. Just curious if there were more people who feel the same way I do or not?!? I cant be the only one who thinks the CD is great.

Cock & Ball Torture, I am drawn to because they are just absolutely terrible. Their only saving graces are the grooves they come up with, and the hilarious vocals. So, yeah I see where you're coming from. SFU still sucks, though. :)

By all accounts I have heard, the album in question is a complete turd. Personally I have only heard what I understand is one of the worst tracks - Amerika The Brutal. What a laughably shitty song!!!! ahahahaha

I totally agree with you with earlier SFU, they're lack of technicality was awsome on The Haunted, but if you combine that same lack of technicality with the purposefully shitty production, and out of time vocals Bringer has I can't dig it.

Yeah, I always like to laugh at the ironicism Barnes has stumbled upon. A few years ago, he was fucking corpses etc, and now he's just protesting against war.

Mortician > 6FU

now THAT is sad

nothing funny about that at all. Mortician rules. "House by the Cemetery" is easily one of the greatest death metal albums of all time.

Yes, it is true that, with few exceptions, all Mortician albums sound alike, but at high volume, with plenty of bass, they are skullcrushingly heavy.

Of course, anyone who is hung up on "creativity" should avoid them like the plague. Their loss.

Mike.

House by the Cemetary one of the best DM albums ever?? Ermm......NO!!! It's decent by all means, but.....man....how can you say that!? lol. It's got two covers on it, and they're the best songs on the disc!

Mortician are decent if all you want to hear, for a very short amount of time, is crushing heaviness, admitted....but otherwise they're fairly worthless.

I've never heard SFU and I hope I never will.

What do you mean "crushing heaviness, admitted...but otherwise they're fairly worthless"???? In my opinion, the only thing ANY death metal band has to offer is its "crushing heaviness". It just depends on how well they do it!!! That is why most death metal beyond the older school of Death, Grave, Obituary, Deicide, Mortician, etc... is just redundant.

Besides, surely you can't really think that the two covers are better than the first song?

Well for one thing, there is no way crushing heaviness is all death metal has to offer. If that was the case, then all death metal would sound like Mortician, or Mortician would be the only band anyone was ever interested in hearing.

Secondly, Death, Grave, Obituary and Deicide are tame, 'kin tame compared to most death metal nowadays in terms of heaviness. You can't be listening to that much of it!!
