7-string material, Podx3l/S2.0/8505/samples

I think the snare could use some more snap (or a short reverb).
I like the sound of the mix, everything blends nice together, also hear the bass quite good and I kinda like it.
I think the whole mix has a little bit of reverb, is that true? Or atleast those lead guitars in the middle have some I think (anyway if it is then it adds some nice atmosphere for sure)

Yep, You "guess" it right. Those leads have littlebit reverb and drums also. And I must agree that the snare could benefit if it got more "snap".

First, I like the song.
The cymbals are too low for my taste, therefore kick and snare do sound unnaturally loud and do not blend with the rest of the drum kit.
I like the guitar-sound, very crunchy, does not sound digital at all to me. Did you use the PODX3 only as a DI box and the 8505 for the tone? The sound could be just a little bit tighter for that kind of riffing.
The mix's overall frequency spectrum seems to be pretty OK, but I am listening on my iPOD cans right now... So I cannot judge the low end.

Thank you! The guitars are all Pod X3 Treadplate quadtracked. I used 8505 only for bass (samples)...It makes it crunchy and heavy.
And yep, I got some troubles to adjust the drum volumes.

Treadplate? The one from the Metal Shop Modelpack or the stock one? I never got a "natural" sound of this model, but I really dig your sound. Would you mind posting the complete POD settings (amp-model and settings, cab-model, eq)? Did you use cab-impulses or the POD-cabs?
