Just to share more of the experience with you guys, here are some more non-Bodom related pics.
Dark Funeral had to be one of the best performances on the entire ship. First black metal band to play on a cruise...fucking priceless.
This is during Jeff Water's guitar clinic. I wasn't too familiar with him nor Annihilator before this cruise, but he seems to be such an awesome guy, a bit goofy and has a great sense of humor. Very tight guitarist as well, loved his playing.
There were 3 stages on board. Here is the pool deck stage, late evening:
And at night:
For the Alexi-fan boys, fan-girls. Me, Alexi's "friend/gf/whatever", and Alexi. They wanted to be ghetto for the night so they decided on bright yellow and purple track suites. At the back of Alexi's track suit, it reads "Easy-A" haha.
For some of you Alestorm fans:
Another one of my favorite performances was by Cannibal Corpse. I don't even listen to them regularly, but holy shit. You just wanna head bang throughout their entire set. I've decided I'm going to all their shows when they're playing here in LA from now on.
Alex Webster from CC, my favorite metal bassist at the moment:
And it was such an honor actually getting to meet him. We had a long chat about bass technique. He's one of the few bassists who has actually written a book on bass technique, so I had a lot of questions for him.
