7th Wonder - Mercy Falls

The STORY idea is fine. I think what the main problem someone would have would be the way it's expressed lyrically, rather than the actual idea itself.
I don't have a problem with the lyrics .. they're fine. I have a problem with part of the story ... something takes place that no mother would allow to happen knowing what she already knows. That's the best hint I can give without spoiling this thing.

I also think the voice acting is pretty weak overall.

Eh. The voice overs are only in the album like 3x and except for one segment they're all contained outside of the actual songs. I don't even find them that bad. I kind of like the segway in One Last Goodbye. Certainly no where near Invisible Circles level of annoyance.

Yeah, I thought the acting was acceptable. As for the story, there's a section after "paradise" that I don't really understand how it relates (what does a storm approaching town have to do with a guy in a coma?)

If Wating In The Wings is a better album, it must be one of the best ever, because Mercy Falls is awesome.

I have been spinning this band for quite some time now. Glad to see the fan base growing. I love this band!

I already had that album for quite awhile as well as its predecessor, I like better "Mercy Falls", but both are good. That's why I'm interested to check them live ap PPXI. I won't say they're the best band around but surely along with Twinspirits, Darkwater, Edensong, Tetrafusion, Scale The Summit they're giving fresh air to the prog scene.

I have only spun the CD once (thanks John for the recommendation!) I liked what I heard so far, I have not had time to really sit down and listen to it though. I've been spinning Delain way too much... I already know some of the songs after 2 days

I have to agree about the "talking parts" in the CD though, they sound really cheesy.... I don't know why, but I prefer it when a grown man says "father" instead of "daddy" it just sounds weird!

^^ Tommy, the singer, is portraying a young boy in that song hence the 'daddy'.
