Looking to upgrade from my focusrite 2i2 to something I could use further down the road to record drums as well as guitars. The Roland Studio capture is on the top of my list, the Presonus Studio 192 also looks good and the Tascam one looks good too, not sure about the Motu as I've heard mixed reviews. What do you guys think? Trying not to go over 1500$ but if you think something a little more expensive is worth it I'll gladly consider it.

I'm very happy with the audient id14 and a behringer ada8200, with your budget you can afford a nicer 8 channel preamp.

Most important than preamps, are the room acoustic treatment to record drums, it really makes a big difference in case you don't have it

How are the more expensive interfaces like the antelope orion studio? The orion looks impressive, it can also work as a DI box and a reamp box. Would be nice to have everything in one box.

I thought about suggesting you the Antelope Audios but the price is higher than your budget. If I'm not wrong, both Zen Studio and Orion Studio are over 2500 EUR.
I'd love to try the Zen Tour

I'm considering the zen tour, I could technically record drums with the 4 mic pre's but not be able to for example record an entire live band or something like that. I don't really have a budget, I will save my cash for whatever I think is the most sensible purchase.
