808 processing?

something that will enhance the upper aural harmonics (like maxx bass).

other than that, you should just turn it down!

mild compression an maybe some volume automation.

If you have a decent sample to begin with you shouldn't need to do any or to much processing at all. It's basically a sine wave. The biggest problem might be that your monitors won't go low enough to hear what it doing,.. so then the level turns into a guessing game.

I like putting some saturation on my bass drops/808s and have them duck the whole fucking mix like 24dbfs ala Devin style, sounds hilarious.:Spin:

Seriously though, you could try putting your whole mix through a bus and automate a hipass on the bus where the 808 kicks in. I prefer just turning the volume down, you'll probably need less volume on your 808 than you think since shit gets crazy come mastering, try putting a mastering chain in there just for loudness and see what happens.
