Cannibal Corpse - Kill
How much do you love Cannibal Corpse? If the answer isn't "a lot," then the next question you should ask yourself is "why am I bothering with generic, uninspired death metal when there's much, much better stuff out there?"

Suspyre - The Great Divide
This is divided into two "opuses," in mildly pretentious fashion. Each is over half an hour, so you get your money's worth. Each is a concept album. The first has a much looser concept and the music is less interesting. The second is excellent musically and pulls off the concept well. If you like prog metal with fairly strong vocals and lengthy instrumental sections this is for you. It's refreshing to see a prog metal band that doesn't sound like Dream Theater or Symphony X, but they'll still appeal to fans of those bands.

Thine Eyes Bleed - In The Wake Of Separation
Look down. Are you wearing an "Affliction" brand shirt? If so, get this.

Hammerfall - Glory To The Brave
This is guitar oriented power metal. The vocals are good, and fairly strong. However, the strong group chants present on later Hammerfall releases are not present here, but that's fine - the choruses are still fairly catchy but that's not the focus. This is a good album for fans of power metal, and highly recommended. It should appeal to fans of both the "flowery" european style and the more aggressive Iced Earth clones, though it leans more toward the former.

Napalm Death - Scum
Individual mileage will vary, but regardless of your taste this is one of those albums you should give a shot - you may not like it, but it'll broaden your horizons.
